When building a website, it is important to choose fonts that are standard across all computers. While there is really no way to know exactly which font a user will have on their computer, there are some standard or core fonts that are essentially ubiquitous. These web-safe fonts can also be used in bold and italic. The names and samples of the fonts are shown below:
